Food dairy beverages brewing & honey · General methods
Gram stain; target-specific immunofluorescence or molecular confirmation
Foodborne-pathogen identification within validated workflows. Report built on the official document(s) shown below: record the method, quality controls, method-specific findings and result. Validate the method in your own laboratory and follow local regulations.
Guideline: Official basis: WOAH Manual of Diagnostic Tests and Vaccines for Terrestrial Animals. FDA BAM and organism-specific standards must be applied by exact chapter and edition. General references to ISO 11290, 6579 or 16654 do not establish that every DFA or PCR assay is an approved substitute.

Speak patient details or findings, e.g. "patient name Ravi Kumar, age 45, mobile 98765 43210, qc: fixed gram controls and assay-provided positive/negative controls not run". Or tap the small mic beside any box to fill only that box, then tap the next box's mic. Your browser asks for the microphone only once. Fill from microscope photo
Hold the phone camera to the eyepiece, use a microscope camera, or upload an image. AI suggests findings; nothing is filled until you tick and accept. Photograph only the smear - no patient labels.

AI differential interpretation
Use AI interpretation in the lab workspace (staff sign-in)Reads the findings you typed, spoke or filled from microscope photos. Decision support only - the verifying pathologist / microbiologist decides.

Smear Camera — teach STAINIC to read Gram & IF (Food Pathogens)
Snap the smear, film or microscope field with your phone camera, or upload a microscope camera image. Photos help STAINIC learn stain patterns so it can suggest findings in future.
Mobile data / Wi-Fi
Each photo (1-12 MB) is uploaded over your internet connection. On mobile data this uses your data plan and may incur charges; prefer Wi-Fi for many photos.
How AI will use photos
Photos are kept in a separate STAINIC image library (not your storage quota) to build future recognition models. When you tap "Suggest findings", the photo is also sent to an AI model, over the internet, which proposes values; nothing is filled until you tick and accept them.
Disclaimer
Photograph only the smear / film / field — never patient names, labels, faces or documents. Photos are not linked to any patient. AI suggestions are decision-support only and must always be verified by a qualified pathologist; they are not a diagnosis or treatment advice.
